The Valencian Industrialists in the face of the intervention of the First Franco Regime

This essay shows the context in which the Valencian industrialists had to develop during the interventionist period of the first Franco regime, which lasted from the end of the Spanish Civil War to the 1959 Stabilisation Plan, and the evolution of some important economic data. This environment was analysed in 1951 at the «Primer congreso sindical de la industria valenciana» by important politicians and professionals from each of the sectors analysed. For this reason, articles derived from this congress have been analysed and they have been connected to the analyses of different authors who studied the economy of the time, the autarchic policies, the way of acting of the Franco government and its main consequences in the economic sphere, both at national and Valencian level.
